Meet the Artist

Growing up surrounded by horses, I developed a deep love and appreciation for their beauty and grace. At 16, I bought my first horse, Etch-A-Sketch. She was a gorgeous, loud and intricately marked black and white overo paint mare. I wanted to have pictures or models that looked like her, but I struggled to find a representation that truly captured her essence. This led me to paint my Breyer model to resemble her. I thought about the uniqueness behind every individual animal and wanted a way to help others capture their favorite animal's spirit as well. Thus, Michelle's Custom Keepsakes was born, allowing me to blend my love for art and animals in a unique way.
